A Trollbeads fundraising event took place in the Carol Anne Jewellery’s Exeter boutique on Tuesday 29 June. In an effort to raise money for Help for Heroes, a Trollbeads lampwork artist joined the boutique for the day to make authentic glass Trollbeads to some lucky 40 Trollbeads collectors. There was a lot of excitement surrounding the bead making and a great atmosphere and support for the charity, everyone helping to raise an amazing £1500 on the day. Many Trollbeads collectors enjoyed coming along to have a look at the beautiful glass beads being made and sharing their Trollbeads stories with each other.

Carol Anne’s sales director Nicola Shopland said: “Help for Heroes is such a great charity that is close to the heart of so many of us. When we got the go-ahead to organise this event and to have the bead maker join us in store, we just knew it would be a fantastic way of raising money. Trollbeads has become such a widely recognised brand in the past five years it has been in the UK, its versatility to become totally unique to the wearer is what’s so appealing about it. To most avid Trollbead collectors the thought of being able to have one made especially for them was an opportunity not to be missed.”

Trollbeads are a Danish jewellery brand originating back in the 1970’s and have become a worldwide phenomenon since. They were the original charm and bead company of their kind and continue to be a huge success due to their unique and personal style. The collectable beads all have a meaning and represent memories and key life moments of each collector, making them a great keepsake for people of all ages. Carol Anne was one of the first retailers in the UK to stock Trollbeads, and five years after first falling in love with the mystical beads, they have become one of the leading stockists with a vast range and unrivalled knowledge.

Help for Heroes is a charity founded in 2007 from the desire to help wounded soldiers returning from war. The charity has taken a completely non-political stance and simply wants to support soldiers who have been through war and fought for their country at a great cost.
